Who can attend the Gamtoj Kartu Stovykla ( Together with Nature Camp)?
The 2025 Australian Regional Scout Camp – “Gamtoj Kartu” Stovykla / Together with Nature Camp- is open to all Australian Lithuanian Scouts, their immediate family members (i.e. spouse, parents, grandparents and siblings) and friends.
Children who are under 7 years of age are welcome at camp as long as one of their parents / carers accompanies them and is responsible for them for the entire duration of the camp. Children under 5 can attend for free.
HOW TO REGISTER:
Register for the Gamtoj Kartu Stovykla / Together with Nature Camp,
by filling in the two camp forms, and email to the camp secretary. See attachments below.

This must be signed by a parent or legal guardian for all scouts under 18 years of age.
(Melbourne Džiugo Tunto members need not resubmit the Personal Health Form, if completed this year with their tuntas.)
All forms are to be completed and emailed in before camp.

Gamtoj Kartu Camp costs:
For the 7 days:
1st – $350 2nd – $300 3rd – $250 4th $50 5th Free
Family- $900 Discounts on application.
Overnight stay – $70 a night
Visitors – $20 a day
Camp payment : Deposit of $20 per individual with camp registration form submission.
Remaining balance: Due by Dec 19th 2024

Location of the GAMTOJ KARTU Stovykla / TOGETHER WITH NATURE Camp

All scouts / families / visitors entering the Douglas Scrub grounds, will need to drive into the Douglas Scrub entrance, which is opposite Woodstock Winery, in the McLaren Vale area, South Australia.
There is a front entrance gate that is to be kept shut, and access is through a keypad – with code. Ruta will provide the code details to all who need access.
Watch for signs – Lithuanian flags, to drive through to the registration / accommodation area, and please observe the set low speed limits.
Accomodation
There are two buildings booked – Douglas House and Paxlease House.
To be allocated in December when registrations completed.
Douglas House – Kitchen, storeroom, dining area, and some bunk style rooms for leaders / kitchen staff. A shower/ toilet inside. Additional ablutions block outside.
Paxlease House – for white / red tie and family accommodation- with large bunk style room accommodation. Also for senior scouts. Inside toilets and showers. Large activity room for inside activities.
Camping
There are large, grassed areas to set up tents on Forest Reserve and Pine Flat.
These will be allocated into scout camp areas. These will be for yellow tie, maroon tie scouts upwards.
Visitor Day is on Saturday 4th January 2025
Visitors / parents / friends can visit for the day.
Cost will be $20 for the day per person – lunch / dinner included.
Watch assorted environmental activities, tree house construction, add to the clay village.
Join in with the Sports Afternoon. Mass with the visiting Lithuanian Arch-Bishop. Group photo. Come for lunch / dinner and stay on for Laužas – campfire, songs, skits and fun!
Program highlights over the Gumtoj Kartu Stoykla week –
Snake Catcher show, tie-dying camp T shirt, speed mazes,
tree house construction / clay village construction / swimming pool afternoon /
hiking day at Douglas Scrub and Onkaparinga Gorge / Strawberry Farm visit /
environmental crafts / beach day – aquatics activities – surfing, snorkelling / kayaking and beach Olympics / high ropes courses / three- sided tower / camp obstacle course / orienteering and other activities.
